Make Me Stand Out turns the professional information you supply into editable resumes. We use your data to provide the service, keep your account secure, manage download credits, and respond to support requests.
Information we use
Google sign-in provides your Google account identifier, name and verified email. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or calendar. We store your LinkedIn URL, retrieved professional profile, photos, extra text you supply, job descriptions, saved drafts and exported resume versions. Do not submit information you are not entitled to use.
Providers
Apify retrieves public profile information. KIE processes resume-writing and source-checking requests and, only when you select photo cleanup, image-edit requests. These providers process supplied information under their own policies. Google authenticates you. Stripe processes payments; we do not receive or store full card details. Railway hosts the application and database. Cloudflare provides domain and email infrastructure.
Support and monitoring
Customer support messages may be handled in a private Discord support inbox and backup email. SMTP2GO sends support replies. Operational Discord alerts use fixed event categories and exclude resume contents, email addresses and payment identifiers. Support messages you choose to send can contain personal information, so share only what is necessary.
Product and performance measurement
We collect first-party page, button and workflow event counts and browser performance measurements to improve the service. Analytics exclude resume text, LinkedIn and job URLs, email addresses, payment identifiers and query strings. Page-load identifiers are temporary and are not stored in cookies or browser storage. An allowlisted acquisition-source category, such as LinkedIn or Google, may stay in tab storage for 30 minutes of inactivity so we can measure the funnel; it contains no visitor identifier. We respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals for this optional measurement. Analytics records are deleted after 90 days by our hourly maintenance process. Security rate limiting uses a short-lived hashed network identifier separately from analytics.
Storage and controls
Your saved drafts, source details, photos and exported versions remain associated with your account until you delete them or request deletion. Credits do not expire. Necessary session cookies keep you signed in. Temporary storage in your browser tab preserves profile details while you complete sign-in and clears them after restoration or sign-out. We do not use advertising trackers. You can sign out, download your source details, delete drafts, or request account deletion from Support. Billing records may be retained where needed for payment reconciliation and legal obligations.
